  • Magnesium, I have a segment in my book that addresses this with the mother/son mother/daughter relationship. As parents, we do the best we can, see our children as the gifts they are, and open ourselves up to life's experiences. I know you have done this with your son and you will be rewarded! :)

  • I admit, I am now openly laughing. Remember, the excerpts in an article are that. Little glimpses into a huge conversation with someone. This is precisely why I wrote the book. To let the women who have these feelings realize it is normal.

  • Until you have read my book, you cannot judge me. My boys are secure in knowing how much I love them. Truly, each of my children have been a gift. My disappointment has never been about THEM. I clearly state it is about ME. I know it. It's my view and it does not taint my boys at all.

  • Never fear. My boys are all well adjusted, as am I. I have no intent to grab a weapon and open up on innocent people. :)

  • Actually, one of my sons was premature. And do you know if any of my boys have medical issues? You do not. Yet, I still feel this way. Before you judge others, judge yourself.

  • nm09...Do you know me? I am the author of ALTERED DREAMS and if you have even looked at the copy, it is all about how much I love my boys and my walk with God in learning my role as a one gender mother. I appreciate your view, but until you read the book, do not judge me.

  • That's where you have it wrong, Lee. I am not disappointed in the children I HAVE. I am disappointed i will not parent a daughter. Big difference. :)
